One of the better horror movies I've seen in the last ten
years (with the exception of the new Friday the 13th). I'm not a fan or
'torture horror' or 'special effects horror', I like horror that scares the
living shit out of me. I'll label this as 'reality horror' because it's
one of those situations that spirals out of control and could actually happen to
YOU! It was sort of like 'Bully' meets 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'. I
think all of the kids are new actors which adds to the realism like a Larry
Clark movie, and Kelly Reilly's dirty, bloody breasts will EASILY keep your
attention throughout the film. Although not a torture movie, there is one
torture scene I could barely watch involving a box cutter being jabbed
repeatedly into someones mouth. On top of everything else in the film that
makes you sweat from super-high tension, there are NO feel good Hollywood
moments (probably because it's European)....the entire movie is brutal and scary
and EXACTLY how I like my horror!

In Bruges -
Although I fucking hate that bushy-eyebrowed
fuckwad Colin Farrell, he disguises his fucking pussiness extremely fucking well
in this movie that is just plain fucking awesome! Full of dirty, gruff
Irish humor (fuck, I love when he calls the fat American family 'a bunch of
fuckin' elephants' to their fat fucking faces). This movie has hit men,
midgets, hookers, drugs, Belgium, fights, fucking, murders, comedy,
surprises.......goddamn!! Oh yeah, it's Martin Mcdonagh's FIRST fucking
full length film (that filthy Irish fuck)!! Best summary of the film - the
word 'Fuck' is said 126 times in this 107 minute film....that's 1.18 fucks per
minute!! Fucking see it!

Transsiberian - A thriller with Woody and Sir Ben....you can't go wrong.....and it is AWESOME!!! I just realized that every film I picked is not strictly American....sigh, everything is normal. Anyway, Transsiberian is a fantastic mystery/thriller in the vein of old Hitchcock films. American bohemians, Russian detectives, drugs, murder, loss, frame-ups, twists.....all done in a very indulging and intelligent manner. Keeps you paying attention and wondering....one of those films when you actually press 'pause' to take a piss. I never thought a film that takes place 90% on a train could hold my attention since 'Silver Streak'!?! Another one of those 'it could happen to you' films....2 cups of Hitchcock and a teaspoon of 'Brokedown Palace'. Yet another must see, overlooked, best movies of last year.
